Opportunity: Online Editor, Cape Town

Chimurenga has an opening for an Online Editor on a part-time role (40%) based in Cape Town. This role is responsible for taking the lead on planning and development of content, design and navigation of Chimurenga websites and associated channels.

This is an exciting time to join the editorial team as it is expanding and taking on new projects as the organisation extends its digital presence. The role will suit someone with a wide variety of website experience ready to face new challenges.

Includes: Creating and commissioning written and visual content across various online platforms – web, social, blogs, podcasts etc.; Uploading and editing content on content management system; Using analytics and listening tools to improve content output and measure effectiveness; Contribute to editorial planning.

Requires: Significant experience in editorial and/or digital content position; Outstanding written, editorial and communication skills in English (other SAn national language, French, Swahili, Portuguese or Arabic, an advantage); Ability to work under pressure and to deadline.
