The eighth installment, recorded at the Chimurenga headquarters in Cape Town during April 2017, presents Nduduzo Makhathini & The Cure Collective, featuring Makhathini on keyboard, Justin Bellairs on saxophone, Shakeel Cullis on bass and Asher Gamedze on drums.
This episode takes its name from Makhathini’s latest project ‘iKhambi’ – a quest for healing through sound. Positive vibration to the universe is at core of Makhathini’s vision for the music and his compositions speak to his connection to a higher spiritual force.
